The Oceans Dress is a one-off piece created by hand in the Masami studio in Gisborne, New Zealand. Crafted from crisp cotton organza, the silhouette balances structure and softness through gathered forms, sculptural puff sleeves, and layers of floating tulle that move with the body.

Hand-formed details gather across the garment like fragments washed ashore—each fold, twist, and bloom shaped individually, making this piece entirely unique. The lightweight cotton organza holds volume while retaining an ethereal quality, creating a sense of movement even at rest.

Recently featured on the cover of Current Art Magazine Issue 03 and photographed by Scott Hardy, the Oceans Dress reflects Masami's ongoing exploration of materiality, craftsmanship, and wearable sculpture.
